APPLICATION

CHARACTERISTICS

ABC stands for Aerial Bundled Cable, also known as overhead bundled insulated cable. Its standard rated voltages are 6/10(12) kV and 6.35/11 kV. It is a self-supporting cable constructed by stranding three insulated phase cores together with an ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) messenger neutral wire that bears the mechanical tension. It replaces conventional bare overhead conductors and is applied to main and branch lines of medium-voltage overhead distribution networks.
